More than an idol a peer

Our role is to provide the tools to connect women and facilitate mentorship relationships, as well as be your point of contact if you have any questions or require technical support. Although we provide recommendations and guidelines on best practices and program structures, it is your responsibility to actively engage your mentors and work out an agreed structure for the both of you. How exactly is up to you – regular video calls, tasks or on-demand chat messaging, all is available and configurable to you!

After you submit your application, we will review your profile and use our algorithm and expertise to match you with a mentor or mentors that fit you best. You will then be set up with an account on our platform where you can complete our required on-boarding activities. Once complete, you can reach out to your paired mentor(s) and proceed to on-going mentorship.

Throughout your mentorships, using the Flawnt platform, you can connect with your mentor through direct chat messaging, calendar scheduling, as well as utilise our various accountability and management tools. We may also frequently share news, updates, and useful downloadable resources with the community too!

1. Smart algorithm — Based on the extensive private profile you provide for us when you apply to become a Flawnt mentee, our recommendation algorithm will find your best match based according to a variety of aspects!
2. In-depth profiles — We design our questionnaire to be as wide-ranging and holistic as possible. Please be truthful and detailed — this is the only way our system can match you with a mentor that fits you best!
3. “We’re not clicking!” — In the rare event that you are not happy with your pairings, please get in touch with us — we will do our best to honour your requests, and you are entitled to up to 3 mentor/mentee switches per pairing!

We understand that different mentees have different expectations. We ask you to outline your measurable milestones and goals during your on-boarding in the orientation sheet we provide. We only expect you to openly communicate and be respectful when negotiating what your mentors can take on, and what you can realistically commit to. Otherwise, just be authentic, ready to grow and flaunt your flaws. Most importantly, enjoy the program!

We will provide optional guiding materials for you and your mentor to get started with your mentorships. After that, you can keep using our optional supporting materials or let your mentor decide how to run your program. We do ask our mentors to use our platform to message their mentee(s) at least twice a month to check in on how they’re doing, and to complete at least one mentoring session a month, so we similarly expect mentees to be active and responsive.

There is no hard limit or expectation on interactions per week/month. Contact your mentor whenever you need help and you should get a reply. We ask our mentors to check in with mentees as least twice a month, and to set up one structured mentorship session a month.

While we don’t limit interactions on a per-pairing basis, there is of course a natural limit of how often you can and should talk to your mentor. They are busy people and can’t check in on you a dozen times per day.

Act naturally and be respectful – mentors are also humans with their own set of responsibilities and not a search engine. Mutual respect is very important.

Our software is designed to be efficient. The time you invest completely depends on you and your mentor. You have complete control of your schedule and calendar. However, we do recommend that you connect with your mentor at least twice a month, and spend at least 1 hour a month working with your mentor.

For most of our mentors, money is secondary. However, if our mentors can end up making money by helping others, then we think that’s awesome!

Mentors can earn up to 80% commission of each mentee’s monthly membership, priced at $170-200 HKD/month.

Yes, definitely! In fact, you can choose to be both! Why did we develop a co-mentoring platform with the ability to be both a mentor and a mentee at the same time? Because we excel at different areas in life! You could be a mother of two and want to share your life hacks and experiences with new mothers in our community. At the same time, you want to learn about making investments from home and wish to seek the knowledge and expertise of one of the investment gurus on our platform — Flawnt makes this possible!

Mutual mentoring relationships either with the same person or with other people (i.e. you mentor one person but are a mentee to another) are shown to improve overall community outcomes and allows for greater collaborative efficiency transcending traditional age, rank, and organisational level boundaries (Mosser 1987).

Simply register for our mentor and mentee application, and specify the kinds of subject areas or topics you’re interested, and we’ll make sure we get you paired up with the right people!

Our mentors and mentees come from all walks of life in Hong Kong. Much like yourself, they are hard-working, enthusiastic women who are looking to move their personal and professional lives forward, across many different subject areas, topics, and industries!

Our smart algorithm runs through the data provided by Flawnt applicants and recommends the best match in every possible aspect, accordingly. We utilise our expertise to vet and curate these recommendations to ensure that pairings are the best as they can be!

We ask each applicant to provide a recent photo of themselves along with their designated social media profiles. We also require that users provide their legal name and date of birth as well as a valid email address.

Personal information is collected for verification, background check, and matching purposes only. This information is kept completely private.

We encourage mentors to check-in with their mentors at least twice a month, to keep up accountability and productivity. However, sometimes times get busy and mentors might miss a message (keep in mind – they have day jobs like you too!)

If you feel like your mentor is neglecting you, please try one of the following options first:

1. Ask them to check in more often, or set up more recurrent and fixed scheduled sessions
2. If they are busy, ask them to try and let you know in advance so that you can expect it
3. Move to a different communication medium outside of our platform – possibly e-mail or WhatsApp works better?

If you are getting continuously ignored after having tried these options, please contact us directly. We are happy to work things out and give out refunds in these situations.

Safety is our priority at Flawnt. All our mentors agree to a code of conduct that we also enforce strictly. If you are feeling uncomfortable, threatened or unsafe with your mentor, please let us know by reporting the mentor through our contact form. We will handle the case and collect all necessary info and take appropriate steps, such as cancellation of the mentorship, refund and cancellation of the mentor.

You can expect us to handle this in a way that is safe and discrete.

We understand that things change. Memberships are billed at the end of every month or year (if subscribed to annual memberships). You can cancel your paid membership at any time before the end of your monthly or annual billing cycle to prevent extra charges. To cancel your membership, please contact us.
